Involvement and white noise

It is Monday again. We got up at 3.30 am to get ready for our trip to the airport, yes mom just visited for 2 days, had to fly off to Namibia again this morning. So the boys are alone and tackling the new week, but not before we look at the last 48 hours.
Boeta obviously enjoyed mom being home and got a lot of additional attention, and as moms go, lots more hugs and kisses as well. We had a peaceful weekend, just reconnecting a little. It is tough on both of them initially, but then things click and we are back to a point as if mom is here all the time.
Mondays usually has the opposite effect, and he gets a little more attached than normal, crying more, just not a real happy boy, and I realized it is as a result of mom being gone. As Mondays go, this one has been much better so far.
In terms of parenting and our year-old. Little man has achieved another milestone, added another tooth, now 6, over the weekend with 2 more coming soon. Mom did ask him to give dad a break on the teething this week, but I think this will not happen, and well going right through it and having a rested happy child on the weekend may be a better solution.
When I am doing posts, especially on birds and animals, I do it on an impromptu desk, where Boeta can join in. Mom took a few shaky pictures this weekend as we worked on a post and he loves me showing him the birdies in the book and on the screen. Finger pointing, "da..or…dit", meaning what is that.

Sometimes he is wide awake, and I put him in the crib, he then plays or chews on some things, changes the music a few times, but every time it goes quiet, and he sleeps, the white noise is back on. So it seems the music playing part of the mobile has come storming back into the routine.
