Why "Our Rumbling Ocean"? The literal explanation: "We live 150 m from the ocean, on the East Coast of South Africa". We are therefore lucky to hear the ocean rumble throughout the day, a constant background to our lives.

Rumbling oceans can also indicate, white noise, something we have become very familiar with, especially after the birth of our son in 2013, after being married for 17 years.

Even deeper than that, oceans never seem to be the same, they have "moods". Sometimes it is light green, other times dark green or grey-blue. This depends on what the weather is bringing for that day. I guess this is very similar to life.

Finally the coastline bring a range of wildlife and flora. The idea of this blog is therefore to bring some of these events to readers, including family outings, activities, fauna, flora and explorations of Boeta, our son, and parenthood.
