Parents do not leave footprints!

Today is one of those perfect winter days again and I decided to take him for a walk. Before you think long post about him, not so, I can talk about full moon, or the fact that I cut my finger without knowing how, at 5 am this morning, his grumpiness with new teeth coming, or even the fact that I was stubborn or stupid to decide to walk in soft sand with a stroller, meaning I mostly walked vertical not horizontal - what we do for our kids.

The reason for this post is for all parents out there. Everybody knows the multitude of pictures regarding the "Footprints" poem. Well, it came to me that we are parents - we do not leave footprints, we leave "stroller prints"! Thousands and thousands of them.

  1. Ha! I actually realized the importance of a stroller today... at the UPS. I was looking at the UPS door, and I needed to drop off a prepaid package. I had to take out the stroller, strap Dorian in, go into the store, drop off the package, unpack her back at the car, and then strap her back into her car seat. I could not have carried the box and Dorian, so it was vital, but it actually took longer to get her in and out of the stroller than to drop the package off. Going anywhere with a baby is an expedition. We also leave stroller prints in sand, and our baby is well traveled in our little stroller. :)

  2. Oh, how familiar, yes it takes double the time, but very useful. I sometimes put my groceries in the bottom space, so it becomes a trolly as well. At 11.5kg he gets heavy on the arm, so trusty stroller ia always close by. Thanks for the comment.
